I stop and take a photo because something reaches out to me.   This time it was a heart; I was driving along fifth street on a freezing afternoon when I stopped to snap this.  It reminded me of one of my best friends and roommate Virginia.  She loves hearts.

I have to say I don’t really eat hoagies too often, because honestly not many places know how to make a good vegetarian sub.  They throw a buncha lettuce and three different kinds of cheese on a bun and call it a day.  Well, that’s not how Jimmy Johns does it.  I was offered a free vegetarian sub on campus one day and I was pleasantly surprised.  The iceberg lettuce is a little boring, but the sprouts and avocado spread make up for it.  Isn’t it great that the longest caption on my blog is because of a hoagie?

Random roads are always closed with seemingly nothing going on and no one in a hurry to fix it.  Berks between American and Third.

An amazing old door that I would kill to have that lives in an abandoned building on 15th and Dauphin.

One of my favorites from tonight.  This was taken on the roof of the Divine Lorraine, an abandoned hotel on Broad and Fairmount.  I think I took more photos of out of focus lights than anything else.  It was beautiful up there.

A photo taken tonight on the top floor inside the Divine Lorraine, the deserted hotel on Broad and Fairmount.  The blue hue is from other photographers’ lights, flashlights, flashes and such while we were messing around.
